A Career in Aesthetics for Medics and Non Medics
Our pathway into aesthetics course, is designed to provide non-medics and learners with no prior experience, a Level 3 SFJ Award, entry level qualification into the Beauty and Aesthetics industry. Learners will develop a broad understanding of health and safety in aesthetics practice, communication and consultation, client assessment and skin analysis and anatomy and physiology for skin treatments.
All of our courses are CPD accredited, and our courses are endorsed by the Finch Insurance Group.
Once completed, you are able to move onto our foundation Dermal Fillers and Anti-Wrinkle courses.
This course is £995 including first aid and anaphylaxis.
If you already hold a level 3 A & P, level 3 beauty or equivalent qualification, or you are a medic looking to enhance your current career, you are able to proceed straight onto our Basic Aesthetics courses.
Course Overview
The IQ Level 3 Organisation Certificate in the Principles of Cosmetic Procedures for Aesthetic Practitioners is designed to provide learners with an entry level qualification into the Beauty and Aesthetics industry. Learners will develop a broad understanding of health and safety in aesthetics practice, communication and consultation, client assessment and skin analysis and anatomy and physiology for skin treatments.
This non-regulated qualification is aimed at non-medical professionals seeking a pathway into aesthetics and skin rejuvenation who do not wish to follow the traditional beautician route. Learners who successfully achieve this qualification will be able to progress to foundation aesthetics programmes.
Level 3 Structure
To achieve this non-qualification learners must achieve all 4 mandatory units.
1. Principles of Health and Safety in Aesthetic Practice
2. Principles of Communication and Consultation
3. Principles of Client Assessment and Skin Analysis
4. Principles of Anatomy and Physiology for Skin Treatments
First Aid Course Components:
- General First Aid
- External Bleeding
- Allergic Reactions and Anaphylaxis
- Eye Injury
- Recovery Position CPR
- Medicine Interactions
- Hepatitis B Virus
- Pre-Study Feedback Form
Total Qualification Time (TQT) – 6-8 weeks
This is an estimate of the total length of time it is expected that a learner will typically take to achieve and demonstrate the level of attainment necessary for the award of the qualification i.e. to achieve all learning outcomes.
A minimum time of completion is 6 weeks before a learner can move on to any aesthetic courses.
This includes 16 hours pre-study and 2 hours guided online learning (done via video link with a tutor) for First Aid.
